How to Stop an Ongoing Task on TaskPilot

Explore how managers can stop ongoing tasks via the mobile app, ensuring correct task management when contractors can't.

In most cases, contractors need to finish their tasks using the mobile app. However, when this is not possible, managers can step in and force complete the task. Here’s how:

Navigate to the Planner Section

Log in to your TaskPilot account and go to the Dashboard section. In the sidebar menu on the left, select Planner. For a comprehensive understanding of the Dashboard Planner layout, check out our introduction guide which covers all the essential features and views to help you navigate the planner effectively.

Locate and Force Complete the Ongoing Task

Find the ongoing task on the 3-day view page that you wish to stop on the Planner page and click on it. Navigate to the three-dot menu next to the task name and select Force Complete. Confirm your action to save the changes and complete the task. The task then will appear as Pending in the relevant column on the dashboard.

By following these steps, managers can effectively stop ongoing tasks when contractors are unable to do so via the mobile app. This ensures that all tasks are managed and completed efficiently.
