How to Create, Edit, or Delete Machines

Machines like tractors or trucks are vital for operations. Assign base prices and rates to manage costs and track usage.

Machines on TaskPilot represent essential equipment, such as tractors or trucks, which are crucial for your operations. Each machine can be assigned a base price and a rate, which helps in managing costs and tracking usage effectively. 

This guide will help you through the processes of creating new machines, updating existing ones, and deleting machines that are no longer in use. By following these steps, you can keep your equipment records accurate and well-organized.

Navigate to the Machines Section

Log in to your TaskPilot account. In the sidebar menu on the left, click on Resources and select Machines from the dropdown menu.

Creating a Machine

On the Machines page, click the blue ‘+’ button located in the top right corner. A modal will appear where you need to fill in the general information about the machine, including 

  • Code
  • Name
  • Brand
  • Model
  • Select Year of Manufacture
  • Fleet
  • Serial Number
  • Registration Number
  • Purchase Date

Additionally, fill in the invoicing information:

  • Price ($/h)
  • Add Pre-check Video Link
  • Attach any necessary documents or notes

Once all fields are completed, click the Add Machine button to save your new machine.

Editing a Machine

Scroll through the list or sort by name to locate the machine which details you want to edit. Hover over the row with the machine’s name to reveal the Edit icon on the right. Click the Edit icon to open a modal where you can update the necessary information. After making the changes, click Save to apply the updates.

Deleting a Machine

Scroll through the list or filter by brand and year to locate the machine you want to archive. Hover over the machine’s name to reveal the Delete icon on the right. Click the Delete icon, and a confirmation window will appear. Confirm that you want to archive the record, and it will be removed from your machine list.
